John is a Korean-born New Zealand citizen and has studied theology at Westminster Seminary California, completing his PhD on Reformation theology through the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He is now currently a Lecturer in Theological Studies at Presbyterian Theological College and was recently ordained into eldership at SYPC in 2026, having previously served for several years in pastoral ministry. Happily married to Daisy, John is enjoying fatherhood with a newborn daughter, Noelle.
